Terms of use
Conditions of use for Best Leeds: lists are opinion rather than advice, how paid plans work, what is acceptable and who is liable for what.
Scope
Using Best Leeds (bestleeds.uk), our free lists of Leeds firms, means accepting these terms.
Opinion rather than advice
Each list orders local firms by editorial judgement of who merits a look. Treat it as a pointer, never as professional advice, and note that it assures you nothing about workmanship, prices, safety or availability.
Work is agreed with the firm
Best Leeds performs no work, treats nobody, quotes nothing, takes no bookings and collects nothing from readers. Contracts, warranties and finance agreements are made directly with the business you choose.
Where the lists come from
Each list rests on public information, customer comments, what firms say on their own channels and the standards described on our selection page. A Pro page is fuller and a Top place is highlighted, but only for firms already chosen, and each is labelled. Neither is an inspection or approval by us.
Confirm before relying
We revisit the lists, yet addresses, prices, numbers and hours move. Check details with the firm, ask for written quotes and find the relevant register for the trade.
Owner pages
Claiming a listing means telling us you are entitled to look after it, and that everything you publish is truthful, legal and not misleading. We may edit or remove anything that breaks these conditions. What a paid plan costs and when it renews is shown in the owners’ area before you pay, and Stripe takes the payment.
Use of the site
Please keep to the law when using the site. That rules out harvesting the lists with software, probing non-public areas, impersonating another person or business and sending false details.
Our content
The Best Leeds name, the design, the text and the way firms are chosen and ordered are our property or that of our licensors. Short quotations that link back are fine, and longer use needs permission in writing.
Liability and law
These terms leave untouched any liability the law forbids us to limit. For the rest, the firm you hire answers for its own workmanship, products and advice, and the owners of external sites we link to answer for what they publish. English and Welsh law applies. Courts in Scotland and Northern Ireland also stay available to readers who live there. We may amend the terms, and the wording current at your visit is the wording that binds.
